Dress for the job you want, not the job you have. All right. You can use your clothing to send a message about your ambitions by wearing clothes that reflect what you aspire to be. — Jan “The Office”
Yesterday I was offered a position with the advertising agency I’ve been interning at the past three months. Beyond the obvious elation for compensation, I was also happy about a particular comment my boss made about the way I dress:
“You always look great– stylish, presentable, and professional.”
I might have only been an intern but I certainly didn’t dress like it. My appearance reflected how hard I was willing to work. Here are a few spring trends I look forward to incorporating as the new PR & Design Associate:
Adventurous colors, timeless prints, and feminine details.
Anthropologie | Fluttered Hem Tee $48
J. Crew | Cafe Capri $79.50
J. Crew | No. 2 Pencil Skirt in Leopard $118
Anthropologie | Dropped Dots Dress $128
J. Crew | Gimlet skirt in coaster stripe $118
Here’s to the start of a great new year!
